How do Ecovadis medals work?

EcoVadis medals work using a percentile system that compares a company’s performance with all those assessed in the last 12 months. Depending on its overall score, it can obtain Platinum (1%), Gold (5%), Silver (15%) or Bronze (35%). To be eligible for a medal, the company must achieve at least 30 points in environment, ethics, labour practices and sustainable procurement.

In this case, there are no certifying bodies; rather, Ecovadis is a platform that conducts its own assessments and awards platinum, gold, silver, and bronze medals from its own platform.
