What is Ecovadis used for?
EcoVadis serves to assess a company’s sustainability performance in areas such as environmental impact, labour practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. These ratings help companies measure and improve their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and their impact on the environment.
EcoVadis assessments are used to select responsible suppliers, mitigate risks and promote more sustainable business practices in their supply chains.
How to obtain EcoVadis certification?
As Ecovadis consultants, we follow these steps to pass the Ecovadis audit:
- Register on the platform; this must be done by the client.
- Collect information currently available at the company, linked to Ecovadis.
- Preparation and implementation of Ecovadis requirements, drawing up policies, code of conduct, reporting channel and sustainability report, taking into account GRI criteria.
- Respond to the Ecovadis questionnaire to demonstrate commitment to the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable purchasing.
- Submission of the questionnaire for evaluation. As a result of Ecovadis certification, the company is awarded a platinum, gold, silver or bronze medal.

Ecovadis rating
EcoVadis assesses companies’ sustainability performance in areas such as the environment, labour rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Based on the rating obtained, which is global and reliable, EcoVadis awards four types of medals based on companies’ sustainability performance:
- Platinum Medal: for the top 1% of companies assessed.
- Gold Medal: for the top 5% of companies assessed.
- Silver Medal: for the top 25% of companies assessed.
- Bronze Medal: for the top 50% of companies assessed.
These medals reflect a commitment to sustainability and good business practices.
